Why Quora Will Be The First Platform To Allow Writers To Earn $100k Per Month
I’ve already moved my 1,300+ Quora answers behind their new paywall.
Here’s why:
Quora is 10x bigger than Medium, and Medium can be a full-time income for top writers.
I started writing on Medium in 2017, and started monetizing my content on Medium in 2018.
Since then, I have made over $150,000 writing and publishing on Medium. Over the course of 3 years, that averages out to roughly ~$55,000 per year (which, by many definitions, is the equivalent of a modest full-time salary). Medium does not make up 100% of my income, but it is certainly a nice side-hustle — not to mention all the content I write and publish can also direct to other products/ventures, such as:
- Ship 30 for 30, the cohort-based writing community I co-run.
- The Art and Business of Online Writing, my book.
- Digital Press, my ghostwriting agency.
For context, Medium has ~30 million users.
